Here are some more random pictures. In April we went to our Spring Fair to see the animals and a monster truck show.

The boys got to milk a big plastic cow. At least real milk came out of it!

Jonathan took Dean to the monster truck show and they loved it. It didn't even start until 8pm, so he fell asleep after about a half hour, but he loved the half hour he watched.

We've had quite a few rainy days lately and the kids were bored so I let them go run around in the rain.

The boys love to eat meals out in the backyard on nice days.

Like mommy, like son. This kid will eat cereal for every meal of the day.

Random Boys

Here are some fun pictures that Jonathan has taken lately on his phone while playing with the boys. The other day he took them to Home Depot and they hammed it up for the camera.

 

One of Jonathan's coworkers gave us a Play Dough Drill 'n Fill. We've been saving it for a rainy day and Jonathan finally got it out and let the boys play with it one day when I wasn't feeling well (notice the red blob on the couch; that's me). They love playing with it and talking about how Daddy pulls teeth out when they hurt. Note: those are not Dean's real pants. They are leopard capri pants made for girls that my mother keeps at her house for the kids to borrow if they need a change of clothes. Dean happened to take a liking to them and wore them home.

This picture just rocks. My niece Sydney helped Dawson play dress up when we were at my sister's house. We practically had to rip the vest off of him to go home.

Jonathan gets the Father-of-the-year award for this one. He was trying to get Dawson out of a wagon and started pulling it toward the garage. Dawson stood up, lost his balance, and fell face first onto the pavement. It didn't break the skin, but broke a few blood vessels so it looked quite funny for a few days. Please excuse the fact that Dawson is sitting on the potty for these pictures.

This shows the sneaky side of Dawson (and also happened on Jonathan's watch). I was silly and kept suckers in the cupboard where the kids could crawl up to. So one day Dawson crawled up on the counter and unwrapped 5 suckers, then proceeded to eat them all.

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day was wonderful this year. I had told Jonathan I didn't want anything because I hate spending money on gifts that need to be purchased just because it's some sort of holiday. What I did get was better than a store-bought gift. Jonathan and the boys made me this beautiful flower pot, decorated all by themselves! I was very impressed by Jonathan's mad skills with my scrapbooking paper. He said Dean helped him match the colors since Jonathan is color blind.

Even though it's been a month since Mother's Day, my flowers are still by the kitchen sink and Dean still asks "Mom, do you love your flowers?" Of course I do sweetheart.

Dean's First Swimming Lesson

Now that Dean is finally potty trained, we could sign him up for swim lessons. He was so excited! I asked him to show me how excited he was and this was the face he gave me.

Here he is waiting in his class line, still excited. I know these swim trunks are a little big, but his auntie Brittany gave them to him for Christmas, he loves them, and I'm too cheap to buy ones that fit. He can use these for the next 2 or 3 years.

His class only had 2 students in it, so he got a lot of one-on-one time with his teacher.

His favorite part was the splashing, of course.

It was so fun to watch Dean have a good time doing this. Dawson liked watching but kept saying "I want to go swimming at Dean's lesson."  Now that Dean thinks he's a swimmer I'm a little nervous to see how his next bath time goes!

Easter and Stuff

Here's our latest attempt at a family picture. We got home from church and by the time we grabbed the camera to go outside, Dean had changed into his pajamas and cape. He seems to think that when we are home it is pajama time!

 It is springtime around here and we have worked hard to get the lawn and flowerbed looking great.  We laid bark in the front this year and got our flower baskets up.

 Don't judge the lawn yet! One of the delightful things of living in Washington is the moss that appears EVERY year and overtakes the grass.  We have to kill the moss, rake it out, then reseed the lawn. Always a work in progress.

 The most amazing rainbow appeared yesterday evening.  The boys had already gone to bed but Jonathan insisted he get them up to see it. Putting them back to bed was not so easy.  Next rainbow we will just show them the pictures!

 Well here we are!  Four out of the six of us sisters are pregnant, five babies, due within 3 months of eachother. So far 3 boys and one girl are expected.  We find out in 2 weeks.

 Here's the wild Easter egg hunt at Grandpa and Grandma's house.  Not to out do the Grandma and Grandpa Walker's, but this egg hunt yielded 35 eggs for each kid.  Jonathan was grateful that about half of the eggs had toys in them and not just candy (typical dentist).

 Tootsie rolls are Dean's favorite candy.

 My mom had the funnest activities for the kids.  They made flower pots with suckers, decorated cupcakes, and had an egg coloring contest.

 Dawson's fun and silly personality is showing more and more.  I told him to smile as I took this picture.

 One of the prizes for the boys was a parachute man.  They had a blast dropping them off of the playset.

 We had a wonderful Easter and very much enjoyed spending so much time with family.  We miss all the Walkers like crazy and wish you guys lived closer!  We are so grateful to know that our Savior died for us and now lives and loves us!

Preschool and Daffodil Parade

Warning: crazy hair picture below. My parents were able to visit Dean at preschool on Valentine's Day. He had so much fun with them there and periodically prays that Grandma and Grandpa can come back to school for "Balentime's Day." Here is his goofy grin, too-long hair, and his all-time favorite shirt that he wears about 3 out of the 4 days of school.

Grandma brought Hershey Kisses as her treat because they are Dean's favorite candy.

Last weekend our family enjoyed watching the Daffodil parade in downtown Puyallup. I've been watching this parade my whole life, and it was fun to take the kids. And it didn't even rain for it!

It was a little chilly though, and Dean waited for it to start by hiding under a blanket.

We were lucky enough to find and sit by my sister Shelby's mother-in-law, whom the boys lovingly call Grandma Walther. She brought some of her grandkids to watch the parade.

Dawson didn't really like the parade for the first few minutes until he got a flag and waved it the whole time.

Jonathan has started playing "the claw" with the kids and chasing them around the house. They absolutely love it, and also love taking turns being the claw.

The kids have also enjoyed playing superheroes lately. My mother made them masks out of felt and elastic that they wore for a while before stretching them out. Dawson prefers to wear his tool goggles for a superhero mask though.
